Hi! I’d like to share my story with you. Just over seven years ago, in between trips to NYC to film broadcast commercials as the Men’s Wearhouse spokesman, contract signed July 7, 2017, I started a holiday lights business. My first client was in Pacific Palisades. Many more were to come. When I wasn’t saying, “You’re going to like the way you look,” on set, I brightened clients’ homes and left their children’s hearts aglow. It was a beautiful life!

After a number of years between LA, NYC, and a short stint in Aspen during COVID, I finally decided to make Idaho my home in 2020. My mother grew up, and returned, to the Treasure Valley. She was Miss Idaho 1962, and gave her blessing to share that. Idaho was always in the family travel itinerary. Since 2020, I’ve been a regular and volunteer at the SV Film Festival, ski

pass holder, hiker and devoured many burgers at Grumpy’s. Meanwhile, the seasonal lights business in the Palisades continued to grow. Until fate, or circumstance, struck again.

The business went up in smoke. Nearly inconsequential compared to our clients’ loss. I was working in Palisades the day the fire broke out. The client I was headed to at 11am, January 7th, said, “don’t come now, we’re being evacuated.” By 2pm, she checked in, “Don’t bother ever coming back to remove the lights.” I watched the neighborhood burn from my rooftop below in Brentwood for the next three days. The trauma of loss for those I cared for, their families, my business, and feeling unable to help, drove me to unknown levels of anxiety and action. I offered every truck available, to evacuate families, pets, heirlooms... It went up so fast, there was nothing to do until after the blaze passed. The next two weeks were filled with prayers, requests for donations of masks and basic necessities, wellness checks, hope, and capitulation.

New beginnings and spreading cheer. I’ve decided to take the business from Pali to the Valley. In addition, I’ve curated some other complimentary home services for the Wood River Valley market.
